dogthreat The media show stories about Bull breeds, Rottweilers and Akitas biting and causing fatalities.  The public in reality have problems with any breed whose owner can’t or won’t train it. The Dangerous Dogs Act, over 20 years old has not stopped the ownership or breeding of illegal breeds and demonises dogs who have passed a temperament test.  Would your dog pass such a test?

Direct approaches to the Government and MP’s have failed, they won’t listen.  There isn’t much proof that this is an owner problem, that all breeds can behave badly if not bred well, if not socialised or trained ans as long as back yard breeders and puppy farmers exist, the situation won’t change.

I have created a new survey on facebook asking for details of attacks and injuries.  Whether it was reported, whether the police took action and which breed or breeds were involved.  It’s already showing  huge range of types and sizes of dogs.

If you own a dog who has bitten, or have been hurt by a dog, please do our survey.  Lots of responses mean we can get the media attention we have for an earlier survey to take notice of what is really happening.
